Ask guests to contribute.   Once you have created your menu, do not be afraid to ask your guests to bring food or drink items. Making everything yourself can be time-consuming and expensive. Just make sure to find out in advance what everyone is bringing so you do not end up with multiples.

Decide which dishes can be made in advance.   Food that can be served cold or heated up can often be made a couple of days before Thanksgiving. For make-ahead Thanksgiving recipes, click  here.
